This is a beautiful preserve. Your journey begins on a boardwalk trail, which extends 1.75 miles into an Amazon like swamp. You will pass through a cypress forest dating back over 1,000 years, and you will also see an abundance of native wildlife including: snakes, fish, birds, and insects. This is a very photogenic area so don't forget your camera, it's beauty is worth capturing on film. It's affordable, it's fun, and it's also a great way to learn about some of South Carolina's wildlife.
