This tour gives you the history of the Hunley mission, the men aboard, and the recovery of the sub. Displays include: the Hunley submarine, Dixon's coin, and other recovered artifacts. Before you start the actual tour you will find many interesting collectibles in the gift shop, and you will also be able to get in a replica of the sub. This gives you an idea of how it worked, and the tight quarters in which the confederate soldiers had to make their attack on the Housatanic. When I walked into this archeological preserve I went from being interested to a feeling of excitement. This well preserved submarine is a part of Charleston's history that is a must see.
