This structure is known as "Charleston's Huguenot House". It was built by Gabriel Manigault for his brother Joseph. It has been named one of Charleston's most graceful structures. The amount of work that went into the design of this town home is incredible. It is a prime example of Adam-style architecture. You will see a beautiful staircase that winds to the upper floor, incredible portraits of the Manigaults, and the dishware used by the family at mealtime. Take a step back in time and learn about 18th century family life. One word comes to mind when I think of The Joseph Manigault House. Impressive.
