This museum includes many interesting artifacts from when Charleston was known as Charles Towne. There is an entire room devoted to the clothing worn in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is here where you'll begin to paint a mental picture about life from the 1700's and 1800's. You will see a display of the wall that surrounded Charles Towne to protect it from attack. You will also see the "Pioneer", an original sub built before the Hunley. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to view all of the displays. If you want to get in a little more of Charleston's history, you can select a combo package including the the museum, The Joseph Manigault House, and The Heyward-Washington House all for only $18! This is a great deal and well worth your time.
